Moneygall GAA Club Crest

The Moneygall GAA Club Crest was designed in 2006. The crest is made up of several elements, bringing together both the past and the present.

"Muine Gall" is the Irish translation of "Moneygall". The Irish version is used in match day programmes and also for official GAA communication.

"The Honeymounts" refers to the former name of Moneygall GAA Club. When the GAA club was originally founded the club was more commonly known as "The Honeymounts" The amber colour used also refers to the original club colours of "black and amber".

"Hurling and Football" - While Moneygall is more commonly known for its "Hurling" (County Senior Champions 1975 & 1976), there is also a strong "Football" tradition within the club. Both codes are actively promoted and the clubs latest success has been on the Football field (County Junior B Football 2006).

"1885" refers to the year Moneygall GAA Club was founded.

"Parish of Dunkerrin" - Moneygall GAA Club sits proudly in the Ely O' Carroll parish of Dunkerrin. All Moneygall teams are made up of players from Moneygall, Dunkerrin and Barna.

"Red, Black and White" - The main colurs used in the Crest symbolise the club's current colours.
